The ARRPG Mission
The Association of Retired Role-Playing Gamers (ARRPG) exists to help people discover, start, and enjoy tabletop role-playing games later in life.
We believe role-playing games are a powerful way to connect, imagine, and share time together. Retirement offers something many people never had before: the freedom to explore new interests without pressure. ARRPG helps make role-playing games accessible, welcoming, and easy to begin — especially in retirement communities.
Our mission is to:
- Reduce barriers to participation in tabletop role-playing games
- Support social, cognitive, and creative engagement through play
- Provide clear guidance and resources for residents, facilitators, and staff
- Encourage flexible, inclusive, low-pressure gaming experiences
ARRPG promotes role-playing games as recreational, social activities, not competitive or technical pursuits. No experience is required. Curiosity is enough.
We support programs that value conversation over rules, people over performance, and enjoyment over expertise.
ARRPG helps people start playing tabletop role-playing games later in life — comfortably, confidently, and together.
Connecting people through storytelling and play, at any age.
